TALC magazine
2013 is looking like a great year for Vince & Son with the launch of our first magazine. It is a new soft-porn publication called TALC which will be out in Spring and will be available both in print and online. It is re-inventing soft porn publishing in a way that appeals to the tastes and desires of today and features all original content from international contributors. The content is a fusion of soft porn and design, with the interiors being as relevant and arousing as the porn itself. As for editorial it features design critique and soft porn features including interviews with important practitioners both past and present. We also have short films and music commissioned for the release online. It’s going to be good.

Bonhams book launch
Cut & Shut : The History of Creative Salvage was officially launched last night at Bonhams auction house on Bond Street. The project began 4 years ago when author Nick Wright realised that nothing had been written let alone published about this incredibly influential period of British design that began in the late 70’s and into the 80’s, naming it Creative Salvage. My involvement began in November 2011 when the studio was commissioned to design and produce the book. It soon become a permanent fixture in the studio up until its launch.
It’s been an incredible project to work on with the majority of the images having never been published before, along with the freedom I was afforded because it was independently published.
The book can be bought here

Cut & Shut : The History of Creative Salvage
The book is done, and hot off the press with just 4 advance copies coming over from Germany. Straight into the studio though to get some press shots. Especially important because the book has been independently published meaning there is no distribution or promotion system we can slot into. It will be available to buy from my website in early December.

Cut & Shut : The History of Creative Salvage
Today I found myself in Germany on a last minute trip to the printers to oversee production on ‘Cut & Shut : The History of Creative Salvage’ a new book designed by the studio. I spent all day sweating over a hot press and making some last minute decisions on levels to get every one of those 204 pages as perfect as they could be. An intense 10 hour day then back to Luxembourg for a late flight home to London. The book is published in early December 2012.
